PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELLING IN ISLINGTON

My name is Ann Perry and I have been practising psychotherapy and counselling in Islington for 17 years.

I offer a safe and confidential setting in which to explore thoughts, worries, feelings, memories, dreams and fantasies. The type of psychotherapy I practise is psychoanalytic. This type of therapy seeks to understand the unconscious origins of the present problems. It not only relieves suffering but enables a person to achieve deeper self-understanding so that life can be lived more fully in the present and the future can be faced more creatively.

I work with people who suffer from depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. I work particularly well with people who have eating disorders (anorexia as well as bulimia) and others who 'feel stuck' in their lives. I have also helped ME sufferers whilst counselling in Islington.

I am registered with UKCP after having trained with the Association of Independent Psychotherapists. I work 2 days a week for an NHS Mental Health Trust (SEPT) in Basildon, Essex and 3 days in private practice in Islington where the bulk of my work is with eating disorders and depression.

I work just off Caledonian Road, London N1. Nearest tube stations are Kings Cross and Caledonian Road. I am also one street away from the Overground. There are many buses which travel from Stratford, the City and the West End to where I work, counselling in Islington.
